Glen Kamara avoids X-rated Millwall abuse as Leeds ace’s Rangers past earns reprieve from heckling fans

THERE'S little love lost between Millwall and Leeds and the travelling United players found that out when they arrived in London today.

All Elland Road stars were given a expletive-laden hostile 'welcome' to The Den - with the exception of Glen Kamara.

Kamara, 27, joined Leeds from Rangers towards the end of the transfer window in a deal worth £5.5million.

It brought an end a four-year spell at Ibrox that saw him make almost 200 appearances, winning both the Premiership title and the Scottish Cup.

The Finland international had fallen out of favour under Michael Beale and had looked set for an exit all summer, finally joining Leeds on 31 August.

And he was part of the travelling squad that headed for the Sunday lunchtime kick-off at Millwall.

A video has appeared on social media showing the Leeds players making their way off the team bus and into the stadium - and being met by an extremely hostile welcome in the process.

The unforgiving Millwall fans at the entrance to the ground immediately smell blood, and launch into an X-rated verbal attack on the Leeds players.

Luke Ayling is one of the first to run the gauntlet and is told to "get a f****** haircut" and asked "what's that on your head, Ayling?"

The defender takes it in his stride and smiles as he makes his way inside

Other players are met with X-rated shouts of "w*****" and "c***" with other stars met with an outpouring of boos.

Even defender Charlie Cresswell, who had a successful spell on loan at Millwall last season, is met with a torrent of abuse.

But moments later, Kamara steps off the bus and the relentless heckling comes to a sudden and remarkable halt.

And after realising who he is, the Millwall fans briefly offer him some PRAISE instead of continuing their expletive-laden heckling.

And it seems it was his Rangers past that saw him escape the barrage!

One of the taunting fans can be heard saying: "That's Kamara!

"He used to play for Rangers - he's good you know!"

As soon as Kamara makes his way inside, the taunting resumes with goalkeeper Illan Meslier branded "useless" and "butter fingers" just seconds later.
