Joe Hart feels the heat from Celtic legends but Martin O'Neill calls Kyogo into question for Feyenoord free-kick

Hart let Feyenoord's opening goal slip through his fingers and he's been feeling the heat from the pundits.

Celtic keeper Joe Hart has been rinsed by the pundits after his error allowed Feyenoord to open the scoring in their Champions League clash.

Calvin Stengs whipped a free-kick into the back of the net from 30 yards out as the ball was allowed beyond the wall by Kyogo Furuhashi and bounced in front of the veteran goalkeeper, who could only palm the ball into the net at De Kuip to allow the Dutch champions to take the lead. Hart quickly pointed the finger at the Celtic wall - but John Hartson on commentary for TNT Sports wasn't having the blame game from the former England international.

The Parkhead legend said: "I think it's one that Celtic could have avoided. Joe Hart has given him far too much on his left-hand side. It has bounced. It has bounced and then gone back into the net. The wall didn't do it's job, you stand strong"

Martin O'Neill also stuck the boot in stating: "It is very obvious he is going to bend it with his left foot. First of all Kyogo should not be in that position in the wall, he should not be there. And secondly I don't think Joe has done fantastically well. He has seen it a bit late."

Neil Lennon was also stunned on Sky Sports stating: "There has been nothing in the game. It is a free-kick, it is central and I have no idea how Joe Hart doesn't save it. It is whipped in and it bounces in front of Joe, it is such a poor goal to giveaway, You are expecting a goalkeeper of the quality of Joe to save that. It is such a disappointment."

Jermaine Jenas also pointed fingers at the shot-stopper: "I just think it's 30 yards out and it bounced. Joe has got to move his feet quicker and get to it, he has to."

However, on BBC Sportsound James McFadden gave the stopper a let off: "It's a huge blow. Joe Hart's looking at his wall and asking them to be tight, it definitely goes through it. He gets gloves to it but he can't keep it out."It's not brilliantly struck, it bounces just before Hart and he almost helps it into the net. I'd like to see it back, but my instinct is he shouldn't be beaten from there."
