Erling Haaland 'sounds like Harry Styles' with Man City star 'more British than ever'
He's only been in England for a little over a year, but Erling Haaland showed he already has the British accent down to a tee as he joked with a Man City team-mate
Manchester City goal machine Erling Haaland "sounded like Harry Styles" as he put on his most British accent to date.
The Norway international, who was born in Leeds as his dad was playing for the Yorkshire club at the time, arrived at City able to speak fluent English but with a distinguished Scandinavian twang, having spent most of his childhood growing up in his parents' hometown of Byrne.
It was as if he'd never left when he produced a scarily spot-on impression of team-mate John Stones back in April - and he topped that this week as City's squad and staff posed for their annual team photo at their training base.

A clip of them preparing for the shoot was shared by City's social media team on their TikTok page, with latecomers Kyle Walker, Bernardo Silva and boss Pep Guardiola getting into position with their three trophies from last season positioned in front of them.
Bernardo made a beeline for the Champions League silverware, with Haaland then saying in a posh accent: "Bernardo can't have it. Bernardo! Bernardo, that's not for you."

Fans were left stunned, with one questioning: "Why does Haaland sound so British?" Another compared him to the aforementioned One Direction singer as they asked: "Why does he sound like Harry Styles?"
"The way he says Bernardo oh my days, that's a British man right there," commented a third, while a fourth argued: "I know he was born in Leeds and everything but you can’t tell me Haaland sounded this British before."
A fifth wrote: "He was born in England but left at three, so that had zero influence on his current accent." And a sixth added in amazement: "He just developed that accent in the space of one year."
