Dean Henderson is set for a scan after seeing his Crystal Palace debut cut short by injury last night.
Henderson was making his Eagles bow, following his £20m summer move from Manchester United, in their Carabao Cup third round tie against his former club at Old Trafford.
But the goalkeeper had to come off just 19 minutes in after suffering a leg injury in the process of clearing the ball.
Henderson saw his campaign last season while on loan at Nottingham Forest brought to a premature end due to a thigh injury suffered at Leicester in January which eventually required surgery.
While there was initial hope about the seriousness of the issue that forced Henderson off last night, Palace will await the result of tests, potentially in the next 48 hours, before having a clearer idea of the extent of the injury.

The goalkeeper - who joined the club for £20m in the summer - is now set to undergo a scan
Palace were already without seven outfield players due to injury significantly reducing manager Roy Hodgson’s options for the League Cup meeting with United.
Though in goal they do have another England goalkeeper Sam Johnstone to call on, who replaced Henderson last night and had started all their games this season before last night.
Palace are back at Old Trafford on Saturday when the two teams meet again in the league.

Roy Hodgson was already faced with several injury problems before Henderson limped off
