Former Newcastle United shot stopper Shay Given believes having a tough choice between starting Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson is a good problem for Eddie Howe to have. The latter of the duo missed out the Magpies' Carabao Cup win over Manchester City due to fitness problems, while Isak limped off injured.
The Magpies head coach has rotated the two forwards well over the last year or so, with both players thriving in front of goal due to the competition and driving of standards. However, with both players picking up knocks, Howe has a concern heading into this weekend's clash with Burnley.
"It’s a good problem for Eddie (Howe) to have," Given told Sky Sports. "Callum (Wilson) has played, (Alexander) Isak has played, but the biggest problem was Wilson was not part of the squad tonight because Eddie said he was not fit enough to be in the squad - Isak has gone off injured as well so hopefully it’s nothing too serious.

"I think it’s a good problem - you look at other clubs looking for a centre forward, and I think Newcastle are really lucky to have two very good ones."
Isak scored the decisive goal against Man City in the second-half in a much improved display from Howe's side. The Swedish striker took his goal tally to four for the season.
"They started the second half unbelievably," Given added. "The high press, being on the front foot and the intensity went up another level in the second-half and the substitutions helped and the goal was on the back of that.
"The pressure was mounting and the crowd were up for it in the second half and it was a well worked goal in the end. Joelinton starts the move and it comes to (Jacob) Murphy which allows Joelinton to drive into the box because he is very powerful and a strong runner and he cuts it back.
"I am not sure what Rico Lewis is doing, but it’s a difficult one for him because he is facing his own goal."
