Major Rangers manager search update with Ibrox chief James Bisgrove to MISS Cyprus trip to front boss search

JAMES BISGROVE has pulled out of Rangers' trip to Cyprus to front the search for a new manager.
The Ibrox chief executive WON'T travel to Limassol for Thursday evening's Europa League clash with Aris.
He will stay in Glasgow and pursue candidates on the club's shortlist to replace the sacked Michael Beale.
Bisgrove and chairman John Bennett have put Steven Davis in charge of a temporary management team.
They'll be at the helm for the Euro clash and Sunday's Premiership meeting with second-placed St Mirren in Paisley.
Davis, Alex Rae, Steven Smith, Brian Gilmour and Colin Stewart could even stay in charge beyond the international break later this month.

But Bisgrove - searching for his first boss since taking over as chief exec at Ibrox - is eager to get on with the job of finding Beale's successor.
Kevin Muscat leads a long list of potential candidates including the likes of Derek McInnes, Kjetil Knutsen, Billy Davies and John Eustace.
Sources in the Netherlands believe Gers could face barriers if they target highly-rated AZ Alkmaar coach Pascal Jansen.
And SunSport can reveal Preston manager Ryan Lowe is NOT on the Gers shortlist despite reports to the contrary.
