After a week dominated by the fallout of the controversial 2-1 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool return to action this evening when they welcome Union Saint-Gilloise to Anfield for their second Europa League Group E encounter.

The Reds kicked off their Europa League campaign with a 3-1 victory at LASK a fornight ago thanks to second-half goals from Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah. Meanwhile, Union, who currently top the Belgian Pro League, drew 1-1 with Toulouse.

Liverpool then beat West Ham United and Leicester City 3-1 at Anfield, in the Premier League and Carabao Cup respectively, before their unbeaten start to the season came to an end at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.

But rather than the result itself - which was decided in stoppage time when Joel Matip turned the ball into his own goal - the talk after the match and throughout this week has been the performance of the officials. When the game was goalless, Diaz wrongly had a goal ruled out for offside, leading the PGMOL to admit a "significant human error" had been made and Reds boss Klopp even to suggest the match itself should be replayed.

But come 8pm tonight, the focus will turn back to the football. And here's everything you need to know about Liverpool vs Union Saint-Gilloise...
