Crystal Palace defender Tyrick Mitchell is weighing up interest from Jamaica after being overlooked by England again.
Jamaica have been attempting to persuade Mitchell to switch his international allegiance for over a year and he is giving the idea serious thought.
Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate opted against naming a natural left back in his latest squad for the upcoming games against Australia and Italy amid an injury crisis in the position.
Newcastle’s right-back Kieran Trippier is most likely to fill the role though Chelsea’s Levi Colwill has been deployed as a left back by his club this season and Southgate confirmed he too is an option.
For the September squad Southgate only picked Chelsea’s Ben Chilwell.

But Chilwell now has a hamstring injury and has joined the already unavailable Luke Shaw on the sidelines.
Brentford’s Rico Henry, who has made squad long lists in the past, is also out with an ACL injury.
Mitchell, 24, was selected by Southgate in March 2022, featuring twice against Switzerland and Ivory Coast, but he has not been called on since.
Mitchell is mulling over the Jamaica option and free to make the switch as his England appearances only came in friendly games.
Jamaica have successfully lured a number of England eligible players in recent years including Ethan Pinnock, Michail Antonio and Demarai Gray.
