Ange Postecoglou has named the Tottenham Hotspur team that he believes will overcome Luton Town and rise to the top of the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Injuries have not been kind to the Spurs boss with Manor Solomon this week joining the absentee list after suffering a knee injury in training which required an operation on Thursday on the meniscus in his right knee and will keep him out for three to four months. He joins Ivan Perisic on the long-term injury list.

Ryan Sessegnon and Rodrigo Bentancur are still a while away from returning while Brennan Johnson will be back in action from his hamstring strain after the international break.

Fortunately for Postecoglou, Bryan Gil and Giovani Lo Celso have both been back in full training this week and they take their places on the bench to fill the gap left by Solomon. Eric Dier is also back from illness which means 18-year-olds Ashley Phillips and Jamie Donley find themselves off the bench this week, although the latter has travelled as the 21st man in case of illness or injuries.

As for the starting XI, the Australian has stuck with the team that beat Liverpool in that controversial encounter last weekend.

Here's the Tottenham team Postecoglou has selected to face Luton on Saturday as the north London side look to rise to the top of the Premier League table.

Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Sarr, Bissouma, Maddison; Kulusevski, Son, Richarlison. Subs: Forster, Emerson, Davies, Dier, Skipp, Hojbjerg, Lo Celso, Gil, Veliz.
