Manchester United fans have taunted Brentford's Kristoffer Ajer for celebrating a goal-kick just before the Red Devils’ Scott McTominay-inspired comeback.
After Andre Onana’s first half howler, when Mathias Jensen’s weak shot squirmed through his grasp, the Bees looked set to pile more misery on under-pressure boss Erik ten Hag and the disillusioned United fans. The home side still trailed entering added time with a Brentford win looking assured.
In the 92nd minute, as the ball went behind for a Brentford goal-kick, Ajer was spotted celebrating as if it he had scored a goal. That irked United fans, who were soon celebrating as McTominay struck twice in quick succession.

And they were quick to remind Ajer of his premature celebrations after the final whistle. One said: “Never forget that this clown celebrated a GK btw.”
With pictures of Ajer before and after McTominay’s brace, another swiped: “Don't say anything just retweet.” A third warned: “Never celebrate until it’s over against Manchester United.”

A fourth joked: “Funny moment of the day was Kristoffer Ajer celebrating a tackle at 0-1 in the 92nd minute, only to lose 2-1.” Another fan piled in, posting: “Let’s all laugh at Kristoffer Ajer for celebrating too early.”
Ten Hag hopes the manner of his side’s victory can give their season lift-off after suffering four defeats already in the Premier League and two in the Champions League.
