Juan Mata sends message to Scott McTominay after Manchester United heroics
Scott McTominay was the unlikely hero as Man Utd came from behind to defeat Brentford at Old Trafford.
Juan Mata sent a congratulatory message to Scott McTominay following his late heroics for Manchester United against Brentford on Saturday afternoon.
The 26-year-old proved to be an unlikely late hero for Erik ten Hag's side when he came off the bench and struck twice in stoppage time to complete an improbable comeback.
McTominay only touched the ball four times in his 11-minute cameo but miraculously managed to find the back of the net with two of them as United avoided what looked set to be their third home defeat in little over a week.

TEN HAG: Two players criticised by Ten Hag after Brentford win
It was a moment to savour for McTominay after a tough start to the season, which has seen him fall down the pecking order and be largely out of favour under Ten Hag.
McTominay has started just two of United's 11 matches across all competitions this campaign, playing just 206 minutes of club football in total.
United players past and present were delighted for the Scotland international after his moment in the spotlight on Saturday afternoon, with club favourite Mata one of those to congratulate him on the brace.
Taking to social media after the match, the Spaniard commented on a video of McTominay's winner with 'You deserve it' along with two emojis.
Mata is a fan favourite from his eight-year spell in Manchester, in which he played alongside McTominay in the United midfield. He left United last year to join Turkish side Galatasaray before leaving them for Japanese team Vissel Kobe in the summer.
