Scotland dealt blow ahead of Spain Euro qualifying clash as Rangers star pulls OUT of squad

RYAN JACK is OUT of the Scotland squad for the upcoming matches against Spain and France.
The Rangers star will play no part in either the Euro qualifying clash in Spain on Thursday or the glamour friendly against the French five days later.
Jack wasn't in the Light Blues squad that beat St Mirren 3-0 at the weekend and also didn't feature in the defeat to Aris Limassol last week.
His last competitive action was in the 3-1 loss against Aberdeen, in which he was subbed off at half-time.
As it stands, Steve Clarke has not opted to call up a replacement.
A tweet from the Scotland national team simply read:" Scotland squad update.

"OUT: Ryan Jack."
Jack's injury withdrawal is not only cause for concern for Clarke but to Rangers as well.
He has an unfortunate injury history in recent years, including missing almost all of 2021 with a calf problem.
Jack, 31, has earned 16 caps for his country since making his debut six years ago.

He was a regular at youth international level as he came through the ranks at Aberdeen and earned his first call-up in 2013 while still with the Dons.
But he made his full debut after signing for Rangers in the friendly against the Netherlands in November 2017.
Starts were sporadic until Clarke found success partnering Jack beside Celtic star Callum McGregor at the base of a midfield spearheaded by John McGinn in the run-up to Euro 2020, with the Rangers man playing a crucial role as Scotland qualified for their first major tournament since the 1998 World Cup.
However, Jack would cruelly miss the tournament itself due to injury.
Jack has played 11 times for Gers so far this season.
He started three of the four Champions League qualifiers but has only started one match in the Scottish Premiership.
He has completed a full 90 minutes just twice, against Servette in the Champions League and in the Viaplay Cup tie against Livingston, in which he also scored the final goal of a 4-0 win.
