Celtic ‘monitoring’ South Korean star as Hoops eye another K-League swoop

CELTIC'S transfer business could see them dip into the South Korean market once again, according to a report.
Having snapped up Oh Hyeon-gyu in January, the Hoops added Yang Hyun-jun and Kwon Hyeok-kyu this summer.
And it's now being claimed that Celtic could be looking to add a fourth Korean star to their ranks.
The Hoops are interested in Gwangju FC midfielder Jung Ho-Yeon.
That's according to a report from Korean outlet FOOTBALLiST who claim Celtic have been monitoring the 23-year old.
Jung has played 18 times in the K-League this season for Gwangju having played a key role in the team's promotion from the second tier last season.

The report claims that the player would be open on a move to Europe.
Meanwhile, Celtic are facing a Uefa fine after the governing body opened proceedings into fan behaviour during the Champions League clash with Lazio.
Hoops fans unfurled a giant 'anti-fascist' banner prior to the match- with the display using similar imagery, wording and symbols to one which led to a £13,000 fine following a previous meeting between the clubs back in 2019.
Along with the words ‘Anti-Fascist Glasgow Celtic’, the banner displayed an image of former Italian fascist leader Benito Mussolini — upside down — with the words ‘Follow Your Leader’.

A message also read: ‘Lazio Vaffanculo’ – which, translated into Italian, reads: "F*** Lazio".
A Uefa spokesperson has told the Daily Mail that UEFA’s Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body will take a look into this case - with proceedings also including the throwing of fireworks.
It comes at a time of increasing tension between the club's board and the Hoops ultras - with appeals to fans over their behaviour falling on deaf ears.
