Ex-Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner looks jacked at the gym ahead of next season of his hit TV show

Nicklas Bendtner had aspirations of being the next Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but it turns out he’s now more Ashton Kutcher.

Along with getting jacked in the gym, the former Arsenal striker now hosts Danish TV’s equivalent of the MTV classic Punk’D, playing pranks on celebrities and members of the public.

With ‘Nicklas Pranker’ now in its second season, the ex-Juventus forward has been sporting a new look, with long hair and a ripped new physique.

Showing off in the gym to keep himself fit for stardom, the now 35-year-old is a completely different prospect to the lanky youngster who managed 45 goals for Arsenal between 2005 and 2014.

Bendtner had an up and down spell at the Emirates that included a number of loans and frustration from supporters.

He did win an FA Cup in 2014, and still clearly loves the team, showing up for a clash against Brighton last season in a retro kit.

Often accused of not taking his football too seriously, the 6ft 4in striker received a €100,000 fine for wearing a betting company's pants at the 2012 Euros.

He also achieved huge fame back in his home land by dating royalty in the form of Baroness Caroline Iuel-Brockdorff, but is now a TV personality in his own right.

Bendtner's lifestyle off the pitch generated plenty of headlines over the years, something that went hand-in-hand with being a young footballer with plenty of disposable cash.

In 2020, he told The Guardian: “I became too fond of the lifestyle that came with the money. I want to go back in time and hit that young lad on the head with a hammer. Make him understand what a chance it is. That he has something special – something he has to look after.”
