Is Sunderland vs Norwich City on TV, channel, kick-off time and how to watch
Everything you need to know ahead of this afternoon's Championship game at the Stadium of Light
Sunderland take on Norwich City at the Stadium of Light this afternoon looking to halt a three-game losing streak which has seen them slip to tenth in the Championship table. The Black Cats' midweek defeat at leaders Leicester City came on the back of a loss at Stoke City last weekend, and a heavy home defeat against Middlesbrough before the international break.
Tony Mowbray's men will be aiming to get back on course by exploiting the weaknesses of David Wagner's Canaries, who arrive on Wearside on a horrendous run of form which has seen them lose five of their last seven league games, and collect just four points along the way. The pressure is mounting on Wagner, who was booed by a section of the Norwich fans as they lost 2-1 against Boro at Carrow Road on Tuesday night.
Last time the sides met on Wearside, in August last year, Josh Sargent's goal 15 minutes from time gave Norwich victory in a game the Black Cats had dominated. Michael Proctor and Mike Dodds were in temporary charge of Sunderland for that game with Alex Neil having decided to leave to take over at Stoke even though his departure had not been officially confirmed, with Mowbray installed within days as his successor.
