The feel-good factor around Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham Hotspur keeps on going and now the table-topping boss even has players helping him make selection decisions with their performances.

Spurs overcame Crystal Palace in a tough 2-1 win at Selhurst Park on Friday evening and one of the stars of the gritty display was 21-year-old midfielder Pape Matar Sarr. The young Senegal international was involved in both of Tottenham's goals on the night and continues to bely his age with his consistent performances.

Postecoglou is a big fan of Sarr and the midfielder's displays this season will have helped the Australian in terms of putting no pressure at all on Rodrigo Bentancur to push himself back into a position to play more minutes after his eight-month lay-off with a cruciate ligament injury.

The Uruguayan star returned to action in the final minutes of the win at Palace and there were emotional scenes as he celebrated in front of the away fans.

Many had expected Bentancur to take Sarr's spot in the team on his return but the youngster's performances have given no reason to rush his return or for Postecoglou to make the decision to take him out of the team any time soon.
