"The team we have, they are very good defenders," Torres told Villa TV. "Ezri [Konsa], Diego [Carlos], Clement [Lenglet] and [Tyrone] Mings, he's injured now but he's a good defender. I'm playing more games now than in the beginning so I always speak with him [Konsa] about the different games.
"The structure in defence and he helps me a lot. He's a good person and a really good defender. I think he can go now with his national team and I will be happy for him."
Villa will play Nottingham Forest this Sunday (2pm) and Torres anticipates a tough test. "Playing away is always difficult," he added.
"We felt it at Wolverhampton and maybe this weekend it will be the same. I know Serge Aurier, he's playing now in Forest, I played with him in Villarreal so he's a good player.
"Nottingham have some very good individual players and are a good team. For sure it will be a tough game."
