A Cristian Casseres own-goal and Diogo Jota's solo-strike provided avenues back into the game for the Reds but the historic win for the Ligue 1 side was deserved. It was deemed that the ball had struck the Argentine midfielder, Mac Allister, on the arm in the lead-up to the equaliser.
Despite this, there were several different phases of play before the ball hit the back of the net. But the Bulgaria top division official brought play back to disallow the goal.
