Sunderland defender Niall Huggins' stunning goal against Watford is among the nominees for the October EFL Goal of the Month award.
Huggins' goal was the first senior strike of his career and it came against the Hornets at the Stadium of Light on October 4, breaking the deadlock just before half-time and setting the Black Cats on their way to a 2-0 victory.
It was a goal to remember, with the 22-year-old collecting a Dan Neil pass out on the right-hand touchline before cutting inside one defender, turning inside another on the edge of the box and then stepping away from a third inside the area before firing a right-foot shot into the top right-hand corner via the underside of the crossbar, leaving Watford's Austria international goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann no chance.

Abdoullah Ba scored Sunderland's second goal shortly after the hour to secure back-to-back wins for Tony Mowbray's men, while Watford were reduced to ten men for the final few minutes following a late lunge from substitute Ryan Andrews.
Huggins' goal is one of four nominees for the October award in the Championship.
The other contenders are Leicester City's Jamie Vardy, with his goal coming in a 4-1 win against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park on October 1, Ipswich Town's Conor Chaplin, with his goal coming in a 3-0 win against Hull City at Portman Road on October 3, and Rotherham United's Jordan Hugill, with his goal coming in a 1-1 draw against Southampton at St Mary's Stadium on October 7.
