Manchester United and England football legends turned out in their numbers to say goodbye to Sir Bobby Charlton.

The midfield icon passed away at the age of 86 years old after having an accidental fall at his care home. Tributes from all over the football world were paid to the iconic player, who was also known for his wide array of charitable endeavours and the work he did after surviving the horrific 1958 Munich air disaster, which claimed the lives of 23 people, including many United players.

While United's owners, the Glazer family, were nowhere to be seen after deciding to not come to the funeral, a whole host of other football legends such as Sir Alex Ferguson, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and many more joined mourners to say a fond farewell to Charlton.

Current United manager Erik ten Hag was not in attendance due to an "unbreakable and long-standing personal commitment in the Netherlands."
