England head into their penultimate Euro 2024 qualifier having already guaranteed their qualification for next summer's Euros in Germany.

Gareth Southgate's side have picked up 16 from their six matches so far, doing the double over defending European champions Italy and only dropping points against Ukraine in an 'away' match in Poland back in September.

That 1-1 draw in Wroclaw is the only game the Three Lions have failed to win this calendar year since their quarter final exit at last year's World Cup back in December.

England have already had their qualification confirmed with a top two finish in Group B, and will confirm themselves as group winners with a game to spare on Friday night with a win in Malta, which will help in their aim to secure top seeding when it comes to next month's draw for the finals.

Malta have suffered a troublesome qualifying campaign which has seen them lose all seven of their matches ahead of their final game in London on Friday night.

Michele Marcolini's side are guaranteed to finish bottom of Group B as they currently sit seven points behind North Macedonia with just one game to play.

The Reds have scored just twice in qualifying all campaign, but did manage to pull of friendly victories in their bye weeks against Luxembourg and Gibraltar during this campaign.

England have won all seven of their previous meetings with Malta, conceding just once to them in those games - the last two matches between the sides have both ended in 4-0 victories to England.
