Matt Le Tissier has bizarrely hit out at former Manchester United star David Beckham for posing for a picture with billionaire Bill Gates.

Back in December 2022, Beckham posed for a photo with the Microsoft co-founder, calling it an "honour" to meet Gates at a Gates Foundation event alongside former Chelsea stars Didier Drogba and John Obi Mikel. However, while Beckham clearly had no issues with Gates, Le Tissier does.

The former Southampton star has promoted conspiracy theories about Gates in the past, with Le Tissier implying the billionaire and his ex-wife Melinda played a part in the death of Tanzanian president John Magufuli during the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

So, when he saw the photo of Gates with Beckham, naturally he wasn't too happy. And that led him to tell fellow conspiracy theorist David Cotterill, who previously suggested "crisis actors" were used in the May 2022 Robb Elementary School massacre that saw 21 people, 18 of which were children, slaughtered, that the photo made his 'stomach turn'.

"My stomach turned when I saw that picture of David Beckham with Bill Gates," Le Tissier told Cotterill on his podcast. "I mean, seriously, why? Why?"

"You were a good footballer, David, you weren't great. You weren't world-class. You were a very, very good footballer at what you did, you were very good. Why are you getting involved with that bloke for? Do you have any idea what crimes he's committed?"

"Do you think he has to?" replied Cotterill, to which Le Tissier replied: "Yeah. I think it's all part and parcel of that circle of people at that level."

The "crimes" Le Tissier suggests Gates has committed are unfounded, with the ex-Southampton star having made COVID-19 vaccine denials and promoting conspiracy theories part of his identity since having been axed by Sky Sports back in August 2020.

Just months ago, Le Tissier was called out by ex-Soccer Saturday host Jeff Stelling, who claimed his former punditry partner was talking "bulls***."

"Yes Tiss total and absolute bulls***," Stelling told Le Tissier after the latter had promoted 9/11 conspiracy theories on social media.
