Alexis Sanchez reveals Chile toilet trouble with World Cup qualifying campaign literally in the s***

It may have been a stinking performance by Chile in their 0-0 draw with Paraguay but worse was to come in the dressing rooms.

Chile stank it up on and off the park in their latest World Cup qualifier and Alexis Sanchez was less than impressed.

La Rioja were held to a goalless draw by Paraguay as both sides ended the game with ten men. The visitors had Robert Rojas sent off a minute before half-time, while the Victor Mendez was giving his marching orders for the hosts in the 88th minute. A red card is always regrettable, but going for an early shower in the Juan Pinto Duran Sports Complex in Colo Colo wasn't advisable as Sanchez revealed human WASTE was coming through the drains.

So while Rojas and Mendez left their respective teams in the s***, they were both in it themselves soon enough. Sanchez revealed after the game that the stadium's facilities were not what he's been used to during spells with Arsenal, Barcelona, Man Utd and current club Inter, with the only thing left in the toilet seemingly his nation's 2026 World Cup hopes.

"In Juan Pinto Duran there are three showers and they don't work," he said. "You have to wait for the other person to shower. At the Colo-Colo stadium I was sitting stretching and excrement from ourselves in the shower came out of the drain."

After the draw, Chile sit third bottom of the CONMEBOL standings with just 5 points from their opening five games. There's still time to rescue the situation, but World Champions Argentina are threatening to open up a gap at the top, with Uruguay well positioned in second ahead of the chasing pack.
