Fans in stitches as Sergio Aguero turns up to Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in full Man City race suit

You can take the man out of Man City but you can't take Man City out of the man.

Sergio Aguero might have left the club where he became a legend in 2021 for Barcelona but he can't help but wear their colours - especially on the day they face Premier League title rivals Liverpool.

His Etihad Stadium exit back then left Pep Guardiola in tears.

But his outfit for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix had football fans crying with laughter.

The 260-goal Cityzen, rather than head to a chilly Manchester on matchday, opted for sunnier climes.

He turned up in Abu Dhabi, where the final race of the Formula 1 season is set to take place on Sunday.

Celebrities love flocking to F1 for a glimpse of Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen - or just to appear in the background of Netflix mega-hit Drive to Survive.

And there will be no missing former Argentina star Aguero - that's for sure.

The striker, who was forced to retire in 2021 due to a heart condition, turned up in a Formula 1 racesuit in Man City colours.

Badges, sponsors logo - even the No.10 and his name on the back.

As you might imagine, football fans couldn't help themselves when they saw his bold attire choice ahead of free practice 3 and the qualifying.

One person on X, formerly known as Twitter, said: "Sergio Aguero looks sharp in his custom race suit!"

And another added: "It looks good. The team should make a racing day theme and wear these."

Not everyone was so kind though, as another added, along with laughing emojis: "What do you expect from a man who celebrated World Cup like he won it."

One more posted: "What the hell is this," with more emojis crying with laughter.
