Paul Ince serves up Manchester United warning ahead of Newcastle United clash
The former England midfielder believes there is more to come from Erik ten Hag's side with a trip to St James' Park up next
Paul Ince believes we have not seen the best of Manchester United ahead of their trip to St James' Park on Saturday evening. Erik ten Hag's side visit off the back of five Premier League wins in six, but Ince feels there is still more to come.
The former Manchester United and England midfielder admits Saturday's visitors have been picking up points despite not playing well, which leads him to the conclusion that the Red Devils could well be a side sneaking up on the rails in the race for a top-four finish.
They are currently one place and one point above Newcastle United and victory will move Eddie Howe's men up to fifth in the table. Howe's men will no doubt be buoyed by the recent 3-0 cup win at Old Trafford and it promises to be another fascinating encounter under the lights at St James' Park.

And speaking on talkSPORT, Ince feels the fact that Man United have been picking up points without playing well suggests they are yet to hit their straps. He said: "[Manchester] United have not been playing well. They've won five out of the last six but they have not been playing well. Look at Brentford, scored in the last minute, Fulham made three mistakes to allow Fernandes to score and they've played Luton.
"They are playing teams that you would expect them to beat without actually playing well. When you listen to Ten Hag and he speaks about being organised and running harder than players, I get that. So when you say United are sneaking up on the rails, I still think there is a lot more to come from Manchester United.
"I don't think they are anywhere near playing their best football. Have they turned a corner? I don't think so. They have some very talented players. Can they get better? Yes, they can get better. The Fulham performance wasn't great but they nick a result. Good Premier League teams pick up points when they are not playing well. They seem to be doing that. Now they have to switch it on."
