Callum McGregor tells Celtic teammate ‘I’ll give you it back’ as skipper scoops man of the match over impressive ace

CALLUM MCGREGOR produced an emphatic strike to grab an equaliser for the Hoops against St Johnstone.
And then the Celtic skipper pulled his side through the game to a 3-1 victory at McDiarmid Park.
He was awarded the man of the match award for his efforts during the game but responded by saying he would give it BACK to his team mate who handed it to him.
Mikey Johnston was introduced into the game at half time and helped the side to three goals.
And McGregor acknowledged the performance of the winger after the game and hinted that he felt the Republic of Ireland man was the one deserving of the man of the match honour!
Johnston was tasked with handing over the award to McGregor but the Parkhead captain suggested he wouldn't be keeping a hold of it for too much longer.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, he said: "He was outstanding and he's been training like that for a while.
"It's brilliant to see him getting back in, he made a huge contribution and gave us a different dynamic as well.
"His quality on the ball and his running is everything we want from a winger so I'm really delighted for him and you just keep going now."
And McGregor thought his team mate's performance was worthy of the man of the match award he received.
