Ryan Christie plans Celtic reunion with Odsonne Edouard but 'flying' Parkhead pal set to turn Premier League enemy

The pair won plenty of silverware together in Hoops but now are coming up against each other down south.

Ryan Chrsitie says he's planning to link up with Odsonne Edouard south of the border - but he's warning his Bournemouth peers about his Celtic pal.

The French striker and Scotland international linked up in Glasgow before both heading to England in 2021. As Edouard made the move to London and Crystal Palace, Christie moved to the Cherries, who were then in the Championship. Bournemouth have earned promotion in the attacking midfielder's time at the Vitality Stadium and face off against Roy Hodgson's men on Wednesday.


Speaking to the Bournemouth Echo, Christie says he is keen to catch up with the striker he once shared a dressing room with, but is wary of a man who's netted seven times in 14 appearances this term. During their time at Celtic, the pair won back-to-back league and cup trebles. He said: "A brilliant player. As soon as he got his move down, I could tell he was going to be successful for them (Palace).

“The start of this season he is absolutely flying and certainly knows how to find the net. He is one of many players we will be conscious of, because he’s a big threat, and another familiar face to say hello to.”
