Rangers star leaves pundits ‘raging’ after tantrum at Ross McCausland, saying ‘I really didn’t like that’

SAM LAMMERS has been getting it in the neck from the fans following his slow start to life at Rangers.
And now the Dutchman has earned the ire of some pundits too.
The former Atalanta forward is yet to make a lasting impression since his arrival at Ibrox in the summer.
Both Michael Beale and now Philippe Clement have given the 26 year-old plenty of chances to show what he’s capable of.
But the jury very much remains out when it comes to whether Lammers can make a lasting contribution to this Rangers side.
The former PSV kid was given a late run-out from the bench on Wednesday night with Gers looking to close out a 1-0 win away to Hearts.

He took a pass from Ross McCausland then flicked the ball forward expecting the young Northern Irishman to run onto it.
But McCausland had fallen over and wasn’t able to continue his run.
And Lammers’ reaction was to throw his arms up in the air in disgust at seeing the attack break down.
That didn’t go unnoticed by some of the pundits.

And former Rangers hero Derek Ferguson wasn’t happy at all.
He told Open Goal: “I was raging at that.
“As a team it would be easy for the players to start going 'hold on a minute Lammers you're not at it' and give it to him.
“They haven't done that, they've supported him.
“You don't throw the arms up and point, you go to the younger boy and you have a quiet word to try and help him.
“I really didn't like that from Lammers.”
James McFadden was also a guest on the same podcast.
And the former Scotland icon didn’t like the gesture either.
Faddy said: “McCausland did extremely well, he's been the shining light.
“Lammers came on, he plays a header, I'm watching it and I see him turning and I was quite calm throughout the game and I was raging with that.
"This is a player that's been constantly giving the ball away, and you've got a young boy that's been different class. And he's having a go at him?
“Lammers needs to go and bring that down and he flicks it on to Hearts and starts moaning at him?

“Come on...he's been really poor. He shouldn't be having a go at him anyway."
