West Brom boss Carlos Corberan has made four changes to his team for the clash with Sunderland this lunchtime. Corberan has recalled John Swift, Kyle Bartley, Josh Maja and Jayson Molumby to his starting XI at the Stadium of Light.

Corberan has been enforced into two changes; Matt Phillips was forced off with a serious hamstring injury in the defeat to Leicester City last weekend and has since been ruled out for at least the next four months. It's hoped that Phillips can recover in time to join in with the Baggies' Championship run-in after Easter.

There was then also the blow that Albion would have to make do without Okay Yokuslu at the Stadium of Light; a matter of minutes away from passing the first yellow card amnesty of the season with four bookings, Yokuslu collected his fifth caution of the campaign in the second half of last weekend's clash and, as a result, will sit this game out through suspension but will be available for the trip to Rotherham United on Tuesday.

Albion, of course, are also without Jed Wallace; the captain injured his shoulder when falling awkwardly under a heavy aerial challenge from Cardiff City defender Mark McGuinness, but he is understood to be making positive progress and is likely to return before Christmas. Being without that senior trio will present quite a test for Albion, and it requires Corberan to dip back into the academy pool to supplement his squad.

For that he has called up winger Akeel Higgins; the youngster was on the bench for the games earlier in the season with Plymouth Argyle and QPR. Higgins joins fellow academy products Josh Griffiths, Caleb Taylor and Tom Fellows on the bench.
