Feyenoord sinner sees Celtic penalty gripe rejected by Ronald de Boer as Rangers hero names who SHOULD be 'p***** off'

Ramiz Zerrouki hauled down Liam Scales to gift the Hoops a penalty during the Champions League showdown.

Former Rangers star Ronald de Boer discusses the Celtic vs Feyenoord clash

Moaning Feyenoord midfielder Ramiz Zerrouki has been slammed by Rangers hero Ronald de Boer for giving away a penalty in their defeat to Celtic.

The Algerian star was punished for a pull in the box on Liam Scales - with referee Benoit Bastien giving the star several prior warnings about pulling in the box before the flashpoint. The corner was whipped in towards the head of the Ireland cap and Zerrouki hauled him to the ground - with Luis Palma stepping up to open the scoring with his first-half spot-kick in the 2-1 victory which rounded off their Champions League Group E campaign. However, Zerrouki was fizzing with the whistler after the full-time - even claiming that centre-back Scales did not believe it was a foul.

But while working as a pundit on the game, former Gers midfielder De Boer took aim at Zerrouki and insisted that boss Arne Slot is the only one that should be annoyed after the "stupid" foul. He told Ziggo Sport: “I can't stand what Zerrouki is doing. The referee has already warned him about this, like: 'Let go of your opponent.' He actually does it again to give the referee the opportunity to blow the whistle for a penalty."

De Boer then went on to praise the Celtic centre-back, adding: “Scales did it smart too, right? If he feels such a hand around his neck, he will of course use it to fall. I think it's really stupid of Zerrouki!

“Slot already indicated that they are conceding stupid goals. On that second goal, Wieffer did not run with his man. But I think this from Zerrouki is really stupid. If I were Feyenoord's coach, this would p*** me off.”
