Kaide Gordon starts as Jurgen Klopp names young Liverpool team for Union clash
Jurgen Klopp has made nine changes to his Liverpool side to face Union SG in the Reds' final Europa League group game
Kaide Gordon makes his first Liverpool appearance for nearly two years against Union Saint-Gilloise in the Europa League.
With the Reds already through to the last 16 of the competition, Jurgen Klopp has rung the changes ahead of Sunday's visit from Manchester United and Gordon is handed his first start since January 2022 when he played against Arsenal in a Carabao Cup semi-final at the Emirates.
The young winger has endured a torrid time with injuries and spent 16 months on the sidelines with what was described as a "complex pelvic issue" earlier this year. However, Gordon is named on the flank in Klopp's three-man attack and is expected to start on the left side with fellow teen Ben Doak on the right. Cody Gakpo leads the line.

At the back, it's an inexperienced full-back pairing in Belgium as Conor Bradley makes his first start of the campaign after a recent back injury that kept him sidelined for three months. Luke Chambers starts on the left with Ibrahima Konate partnering Jarell Quansah in the centre.
In midfield, Wataru Endo anchors the midfield with Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones, who captains the side, further forward as the Reds bring an end to their group stages in Brussels.
Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and Dominik Szoboszlai are part of the bench but Klopp has left Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah, Alisson Becker and captain Virgil van Dijk on Merseyside ahead of United's visit this weekend.
Liverpool: Kelleher; Bradley, Quansah, Konate, Chambers; Endo, Elliott, Jones; Doak, Gakpo, Gordon.
Subs: Pitaluga, Mrozek, Gomez, Diaz, Szoboszlai, Nunez, Tsimikas, Gravenberch, Scanlon, McConnell, Koumas, Hill.
