Months after her breakup with former Real Madrid footballer Achraf Hakimi first came to light, Hiba Abouk has ended her brief hiatus from public life after devoting herself to the growth of her two children.
The breakup with Paris Saint-Germain star Hakimi did not help her escape the limelight. But it appears Abouk is finally ready to talk about what transpired between the couple as she discusses her new projects in her professional life.
In February, the French prosecutor's office investigated Morocco international Hakimi following allegations that he raped a woman. He was indicted for rape and placed under judicial supervision following the conclusion of their investigation.
Reports at the time claimed the incident contributed to the end of his relationship with Abouk, who immediately decided to end their marriage after five years and two children together, distancing herself completely from the 25-year-old.
However, the actress communicated her decision through her personal social media account, indicating Hakimi's situation had nothing to do with their breakup: "My husband and I made the decision to end our relationship before the events that happened in which I have been involved and of which I am totally oblivious," Abouk wrote at the time.
The current situation between Abouk and Hakimi
Almost a year after their separation was confirmed, the actress has opened up about her current relationship with the PSG player and insisted there is no bad blood between them.
The Spanish actress, 37, went on to say that she had not completely ruled out falling in love again and the mother-of-two is willing to meet someone else if the opportunity arises.
"With Achraf there is cordiality and respect," Abouk said.
When asked about the possibility of a new relationship, she said: "One is always eager to meet someone. Now you are more demanding, you learn and they are life lessons."
With the arrival of Christmas, Abouk appears to be happy and thriving again as a single woman and is open to starting a new relationship after moving on from her ex-husband.
