Gutted Kemar Roofe hits Rangers boiling point as injury-plagued star unleashes tunnel outburst amid 17 minute sub riddle
The forward was handed a rare start but was hooked by Philippe Clement in the first half.
Gutted Kemar Roofe cut a raging figure as he was replaced early in Rangers clash with St Johnstone.
The striker has suffered a succession of injuries and has not made a start for the Ibrox side since October - but was given the nod by Philippe Clement to lead the line during the Scottish Premiership showdown, his first since the arrival of the boss. However, time was up after just 17 minutes with the fans and pundits left guessing over why the decision was taken - with Todd Cantwell infamously being hooked after a poor first half showing by the ruthless boss.
Roofe left the pitch with his head in his shirt initially before reaching the touchline where he shook his head in frustration. The 30-year-old headed straight for the tunnel and pulled off his top before he could be audibly heard screaming in fury as he left the pitch. The pundits were initially left guessing with Gordon Smith on commentary for Rangers TV baffled
He then went on to state: "I saw the manager was looking a bit fraught and I didn't know what it was. It must have been Roofe he was gesturing to and asking if he wanted to come off. Obviously he didn't want to come off."

Cyriel Dessers joined the action for the Jamaica international. BBC Sportsound suggested a possible hamstring injury had been picked up.
