'Carlos Tevez barely said anything at Man Utd – other than muttering and grunting'
Carlos Tevez played for some of the biggest clubs in England despite not speaking the language which didn't seem to harm his relationship with his Man United team-mates
Rio Ferdinand claimed that Carlos Tevez "barely said anything" at Manchester United despite spending two years at the club.
The England great was team-mates with the Argentine for a couple of seasons after joining the Red Devils in 2007 following a year at West Ham where he was integral in saving the club from relegation.
Tevez - who played 76 times for Argentina - accrued six pieces of silverware under Sir Alex Ferguson which included two consecutive Premier League titles and a Champions League trophy after besting Chelsea on penalties in 2008.

Despite his wealth of success in Manchester, Ferdinand said Tevez, now 39, barely said a word after Laura Woods asked him how difficult it was to gel with players when a language barrier existed.
The former centre back said: "Football is a universal language, you can struggle with communication but once you get over that white line, Carlos Tevez is a great example. He barely spoke anything... other than muttering and grunting, but when he got out there, he was a phenomenal player.

"We all appreciated him, we didn't mind him not speaking the language." Tevez certainly made an impression in his time with United which saw him secure a controversial move to rivals Manchester City in 2009. He enjoyed the best years of his career at the club and helped them to their first ever Premier League title in 2011, pipping his former team to top spot by goal difference.
Plenty has been said over the years regarding the Independiente manager with his training habits called into question. Ex-England international Bobby Zamora spent a year as his team-mate at West Ham and admitted just how lazy the former Juventus star was in training.
Speaking on the Undr the Cosh podcast, Zamora said: "Tevez was the worst trainer in the f***ing world; rubbish. He'd just walk about. Obviously he had flashes of brilliance but he wouldn't try a leg really in training. But on a Saturday he'd work his c*** off. Again, you don't mind that."
