Aston Villa sent Clement Lenglet transfer message as Ligue 1 side 'exploring move'
Latest Aston Villa news from BirminghamLive amid previous claims that Clement Lenglet face an uncertain future at Villa Park ahead of the Janaury transfer window
Lyon are "exploring a move" for Clement Lenglet, it is claimed.
The defender is currently on loan at Aston Villa from Barcelona but has seen his game time limited at Villa Park. Lenglet has made just six appearances in Claret and Blue since arriving in the summer but played the full 90 minutes of Friday's 1-1 draw against Sheffield United.
Recent reports have claimed the 28-year-old was ‘almost certain’ to return to his parent club in January, six months earlier than originally planned. Italian giants AC Milan are also said to be interested.

And according to L’Équipe (via Get Football) French Ligue 1 side Lyon are now also interested. The club are said to be looking to strengthen at centre-back in January.
Villa boss Unai Emery told reporters earlier this week before the game against Sheffield United that he wanted Lenglet to stay at Villa Park. "I am very happy with him," he said.
"His commitment in every training session is amazing. He is a very good professional and always ready to play. The last matches he was sick. He was with us in Zrinjski.
"He was better at Brentford but still a little bit sick. Other players maybe wouldn’t be with the squad if they were feeling like he was. I want to keep him because we need players for the challenges we are going to face this season."
