Manchester City goalkeeper Stefan Ortega was spotted celebrating in the city centre over the festive period.

Manchester City goalkeeper Stefan Ortega was spotted out in town singing with a group of fans over the festive period.

City had plenty to celebrate as they reflected on 2023. The Blues have seen a return to form these last few weeks with wins against a resurgent Everton and Sheffield United. It is unlikely the City players will forget 2023 and the success it has brought them. And after a successful year, Ortega was spotted out near Albert’s Schloss in Manchester city centre over the festive period.

In a video shared on social media, Ortega can be seen singing and dancing with fans as they chanted his name. The fans can be heard singing 'Just sold my car to Stefan Ortega' with the goalkeeper joining in. After moving to City on a free transfer in 2022, Ortega has already won the FA Cup, Champions League, Premier League and Club World Cup.

Ortega started every FA Cup match of the Treble season including the final against Manchester United. Despite a slow start for the goalkeeper at the Etihad, he has proven to be a reliable competitor for Ederson, earning the trust of Pep Guardiola.

After 15 years with Arminia Bielefeld where he experienced both promotion to and relegation from the Bundesliga, Ortega has now become part of one of the greatest sides the Premier League has ever seen. After an action-packed 2023 with City, it is no surprise to see Ortega celebrating a superb year for both himself and the club.
