Rangers fans call out ‘amateur’ and ’embarrassing’ Hamilton signing announcement as they reckon they’ve spotted sly dig

RANGERS fans were happy to see midfielder Ben Williamson move on after 15 years attached to the club.
The midfielder, who has previously had loan spells with Livingston, Raith Rovers, Dundee and Partick Thistle, has agreed a deal to join Hamilton Accies.
He made an emotional farewell post on social media after Accies paid an undisclosed fee to acquire his services.
But some Gers fans were none too chuffed about the manner in which the League One promotion chasers announced his arrival.
They wrote on social media: "We are delighted to announce we have now fully completed the signing of Ben Williamson to Hamilton Academical FC.
"We have agreed an undisclosed fee with The Glasgow Rangers FC for the player.

"We thank The GRFC for their co-operation."
It's worth noting that the Accies currently have TWO separate accounts on X, formerly Twitter, under the handles @theacciesfc and @acciesfc.
The message only appeared on the former, but not the latter.
While Rangers were originally founded as 'The Rangers Football Club', Gers fans suspected that someone at Accies was having a dig at their expense over the club's administration and liquidation.
