Translation: The Brazilian Football Confederation mourns the loss at 78 of Franz Beckenbauer, one of the greatest players in the history of football, this Monday.
Beckenbauer is one of three people to have won the World Cup as a player and a manager, alongside Zagallo and France's Didier Deschamps.
"I mourn the death of Beckenbauer. He's a legend of football, won the World Cup as a player and a coach, just like Zagallo, who we also lost recently. My feelings go out to the family of this great player," said CBF president Ednaldo Rodrigues.
