Lee Johnson turns LinkedIn management guru as axed Hibs and Fleetwood boss offers to train up 5 aspiring coaches

Johnson is out of work but is making the most of his downtime by looking for work on LinkedIn.

Former Hibs boss Lee Johnson has offered to train up aspiring coaches and managers through Zoom sessions - via an ad on his LinkedIn.

Johnson is out of work after leaving Fleetwood Town, where he was sacked less than four months after his appointment back in December. It was his second sacking of 2023 having also been given the boot by Hibs after a disastrous start to the season. But it seems the Englishman is making the most of his downtime as he looks to recruitment site LinkedIn to make use of his vast experience.

A post from the 42-year-old's page put out a call to arms for five budding gaffers to join him on four 'interactive Zoom sessions' where he promises to train them up on a number of different aspects of the game. Johnson has spent more than ten years in management and amassed more than 500 games in different dugouts from Oldham and Barnsley to Sunderland and Easter Road, to varying degrees of success.

Johnson, who also spent time at Hearts as a player, said: "This is a message for coaches that aspire to be a manager/head coach or potential technical directors. As I’m out of work currently, I thought I would offer up my experiences by the way of 4 interactive Zoom sessions for 5 individuals that are keen on learning from my experiences over 500+ games in management."

He goes on to list the topics covered in his sessions including the interview process, player philosophy, recruitment and media management. Those interested are asked to inbox him via his LinkedIn page.
