The pictures show a slender looking Best with his trademark bangs and a well-groomed beard. The Manchester United icon would have been 77, turning 78 in May.

Best can be seen in a range of situations, from wearing red polos to dressed to the nines in a sleek suit while posing on a leather sofa. Best passed away in 2005, following complications with a liver transplant as a result of his alcoholism.
The Northern Irish star was one of the best players to play the game, and upon his death tributes flew in from some of the very best footballers of all-time.

"George Best was one of the greatest footballers of all time. Naturally athletic, tough, confident and blessed with genius, his career was one of the brightest stars of its generation. His gifts were legendary," Sir Alex Ferguson said.
While Diego Maradona admitted he was one of his idols: "George inspired me when I was young. He was flamboyant and exciting and able to inspire his teammates. I actually think we were very similar players – dribblers who were able to create moments of magic."
"I would love him to save me a place in his team, George Best that is, not God," Eric Cantona added.
Best made a total of 466 appearances for United, scoring 178 goals, but some fans argued we never truly got to see Best at the peak of his powers due to his off-field issues.
The star hoped he would be remembered for his supreme ability on the pitch, often quipping: "Pele called me the greatest footballer in the world. That is the ultimate salute to my life."
