With just over a week left before the close of the transfer window, clubs are finalising their shopping lists for the remainder of the season.
But a number of clubs are also battling to keep players - or ward off bids that are deemed to be below their valuation.
Nice are keen to secure their star talent Jean-Clair Todibo in the face of increasing interest from a raft of Premier League clubs, whilst the Hammers have been rebuffed in their hunt to bring Aston Villa's Jhon Duran to east London.
But West Ham could have more joy in midfield, as they edge closer to winning the hand of Kalvin Phillips.
