Manchester United's FA Cup fourth round match at Newport was briefly stopped in the 82nd minute due to a medical emergency in the crowd.
Newport's medics raced into the stands at Rodney Parade to come to the aid of the supporter, with referee David Coote drawing the two sets of players together and bringing a halt to the match.
After Coote consulted with players and staff, it was agreed that the match would restart after a brief lull, with United's medical staff promising to aid with any treatment for Newport players. When the game did restart, Rasmus Hojlund added a fourth for United to secure victory.
Hojlund's goal came after United had been pegged back by a spirited south Wales side, who were two goals down inside 13 minutes after goals from Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo.
Bryn Morris fired in fromt distance to pull a goal back for the Welsh side, with Will Evans then shocking United by drawing the hosts level early in the second half. That parity was to last for 21 minutes before Antony grabbed United's third, and then Hojlund rounded off the scoring.
United boss Erik ten Hag told BBC Sport: "The first 35 minutes minutes were very comfortable leading 2-0. It should have been 3-0 or 4-0.. They created chances out of nothing. Our defence transition was not great. We had to start again to win this game and we did. Well done boys.
"We controlled the game, maybe we went a little bit slower. We had the chance to go 3-0. Garnacho hit the crossbar. They had nothing, really nothing and then they scored a goal."
