Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou has made two changes to his team for the visit of Brentford in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.

Spurs are looking to get back to winning ways after their FA Cup exit at the hands of holders Manchester City on Friday night. They host a Brentford side boosted by the return of Ivan Toney following the end of his ban. Tottenham are without the injured Manor Solomon, Giovani Lo Celso, Ryan Sessegnon and Alejo Veliz, with Ange Postecoglou telling football.london on Tuesday that Solomon had suffered another setback in training this week as he tries to return from knee surgery.

James Maddison makes his first start for the first time in two-and-a-half months and the England international's return to the line-up means Dejan Kulusevski pushes back up to the right of the front three with Brennan Johnson drops to the bench.

Oliver Skipp also starts after his bright cameo from the bench on Friday following on from his positive display against Manchester United before the break and Postecoglou has looked to use the 23-year-old's fresh legs in the place of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Jamie Donley is back from a little hamstring issue to take his place on the bench. Radu Dragusin has to wait a little while longer for his start within this busy little burst of fixtures - three games in eight days - and the Spurs boss might decide to use the 21-year-old Romanian in the game at Everton on Saturday with Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven having played so little football in recent weeks.

Here's the Tottenham team Postecoglou has selected to face Brentford: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Skipp, Bentancur, Maddison; Kulusevski, Richarlison, Werner. Subs: Forster, Dragusin, Davies, Emerson, Hojbjerg, Gil, Donley, Johnson, Scarlett.
