Jefte to Rangers transfer 'OFF' after APOEL torpedo January deal but Ibrox chiefs hold aces for summer move
The Brazilian had been expected to arrive from Fluminense via APOEL Nicosia but it now looks like it's going on ice until the summer'

Jefte WON'T be joining Rangers this month - but the Ibrox side have 'reached a pact' to sign him in the summer.
The Brazilian left back has been targeted to join Fabio Silva and Mohamed Diomande as the Ibrox club's new recruits, with Philippe Clement starting to put his own stamp on the squad he inherited from Michael Beale. Jefte was on loan at Cypriot club APOEL Nicosia and a deal had looked imminent but it's now claimed APOEL have decided against breaking their loan agreement for the second half of the season.
It's being reported by Fabrizio Romano that this has torpedoed Rangers' hopes of signing him in January. However he also claims Rangers have a 'verbal pact in place' to sign him in the summer.
