Layvin Kurzawa is Celtic transfer option as PSG star flagged while David Turnbull to leave for £2m

The left-back is one option Rodgers may go for at the back on Thursday's deadline day.

Layvin Kurzawa has emerged as a possible Celtic left-back option for Brendan Rodgers on deadline day.

The Hoops boss has got his striker wish in Adam Odah on loan from Norwich City, and he is also hunting a full-back to help him out at the back. Greg Taylor is out injured and it leaves Alexandro Bernabei as the only senior option, with a look at multiple targets to fill that position before Thursday's deadline currently ongoing.

According to the Daily Mail, PSG's Kurzawa is one option. Their efforts to sign Hugo Bueno from Wolves were knocked back and now the Frenchman is being looked at, with only one appearance to his name in the French capital this season. This has led to his agents making Celtic aware of his availability, with the 31-year-old also previously spending time out on loan at Fulham.

Meanwhile, David Turnbull is set to join Cardiff City in a £2million deal that will bring the curtain down on his Celtic career. The midfielder joined the Hoops in 2020 from Motherwell and has seven goals so far this season.

He formed part of Ange Postecoglou's Treble-winning side but appearances and starts faded under the Australian, with that trend continuing under Brendan Rodgers. He now looks set to make way with six months left on his contract at Parkhead.

It is claimed that Cardiff City are poised to take him to the Welsh capital and English Championship in a deal that will be in the region of £2m. It will recoup some of the fee Celtic paid to Motherwell for the Scotland international, who raked in a club-record fee north of £3m for Turnbull. Celtic have signed Nicolas Kuhn this January and are set to snap up striker Adam Idah on loan from Norwich City.
