Nottingham Forest will accelerate their efforts to land a new goalkeeper this morning with Strasbourg goalkeeper Matz Sels among the serious candidates on their radar.
Forest have registered an interest with Strasbourg over a deadline day switch for Sels, while Palace keeper Sam Johnstone is also of interest to Nuno Espirito Santo.
Sels, a Belgium international, is open to moving to the City Ground and would cost around £10million - cheaper that Johnstone, who Palace are looking to recoup £15million for.
Similarly, Johnstone is open to leaving Selhurst Park today as he looks to keep his place in the England squad ahead of Euro 2024 after losing his position as Palace No 1 to Dean Henderson.
Forest and Palace have held talks over a permanent deal for Johnstone but the City Ground club are now keeping their options open in regard to a new shot-stopper with Sels a player of significant interest.
