<p>At one point during the first half of said contest, West Ham centre-half Zouma collided with team-mate and fellow Frenchman, Alphonse Areola. As he went to make to make a clearance, the former Chelsea star caught his goalkeeper in the face with his shoulder.</p>

<p>While watching replays of the heavy blow, one of the MUTV commentators took the opportunity to remind Zouma of the part that he played in an animal cruelty incident from February 2022. He said of the France international: “He can be physical, Kurt Zouma, just ask his cat!”</p>
