Williams: No sulking here
Luke Williams says he's glad for a bit of time on the training pitch after a hectic first few weeks at the Swansea helm. Williams arrived into a sandstorm in SA1, with games coming thick and fast and a transfer window unfolding around him.
With the window now closed, the head coach has been able to work with his players at Fairwood to further implement his ideas - a vital period to get to know the personnel at his disposal, too. He added that this isn't a time to sulk or feel sorry for themselves and that this was just part and parcel of the job.
“We need the time on the training pitch because we have to rehearse the actions and get very good at them,” said Williams. “If we do that, and start to take the chances we create, we can be a really difficult team to play against.

"If we can expand those periods in games where we have done well, and we continue to create chances in the six-yard box, then we will be very unlucky not to start getting results. We have to concentrate on making the performance better and that will help us get to where we want to be.
“We have tough fixtures, but that’s the job. There’s no sulking or feeling sorry for ourselves, it’s about having the clarity in what we are doing.”
Ogbeta's debut abandoned
Nathanael Ogbeta's full league debut for new club Bolton was abandoned after just nine minutes due to a waterlogged pitch.
The Trotters had travelled to League One's Cambridge United last night, looking to jump back into the automatic promotion spots. But the game was terminated due to the awful conditions at Abbey Stadium.
Play was stopped while still 0-0, with referee David Rock taking the players after consulting both managers. After a delay of around 16 minutes, it was announced the game was off.
Bolton said on X: "Tonight's game has been abandoned due to a waterlogged pitch. Thank you for your brilliant support following us this evening and have a safe trip home."
Ogbeta made an immediate impact on his bow for his loan club, scoring within two minutes of coming on against Carlisle United in a 4-1 win last month. He was left on the bench against Barnsley, with his full debut against The U's unfortunately curtailed by the elements
Duff favourite to Terriers
Former Swansea boss Michael Duff is the bookmakers' favourite for the vacant Huddersfield Town job. Duff has been out of work since parting company with the Swans in early December following a poor first half of the season.
He has now been installed as the the leading contender to succeed Darren Moore, who was sacked after the Terriers' 1-1 draw with QPR last month.
John Eustace and Paul Heckingbottom make up the top three, while Alex Neil and Wayne Rooney are further back in the running.
