David Turnbull questions whether Celtic exit was down to ‘other things’ as he opens up on January move to Cardiff

DAVID TURNBULL has questioned whether his Celtic exit was down to "other things" as he opened upon his time at Parkhead.
The Scotland midfielder, 24 signed for Cardiff City for £2million on deadline day and made his debut off the bench against Watford on Saturday.
The playmaker spent three-and-a-half years at Parkhead following his move from Motherwell in 2020.
But now he has embarked on a new challenge down south after joining former Rangers flop Aaron Ramsey in the Welsh capital.
He fell out of favour in Glasgow this season, despite being Brendan Rodgers' preferred choice over Reo Hatate at the start of his tenure.
Turnbull has spoken about his Celtic exit for the first time since his move as he attempted to explain what led to him leaving the club.

He believes it was down to his drop in form but has admitted that there could be more to the story that he's unaware of.
He said: "I think it was the right time for me [to move on]. I had a great time at Celtic, a great three and a half years, and I loved every minute of it.
"But maybe the last six months to a year hasn't been the way I wanted it. To come to a team like Cardiff is a great move for myself.
"It's about trying to replicate some things I have done before and putting my own style on to the team.

"At the start of the season I was playing games and after that fell away a wee bit. Sometimes in football that happens.
"Whether it is down to other things I am not sure, but I leave Celtic happy with a lot of my time there and it's time to come on to new things now."
Turnbull made 19 appearances for the Hoops this season - nine of which were starts - and scored seven goals.
He scored two in the club's first league game of the season against Ross County but he fell down the pecking order as the campaign went on.
