Neil Warnock cries 'manslaughter' on Bojan Miovski as Aberdeen FC boss seethes over David Marshall punch
Ther 75-year-old was left livid and will seek talks with refs chiefs at the lack of penalty or red card.
A seething Neil Warnock was left baffled by the failure to award Aberdeen a penalty for a foul on Bojan Miovski - and described Hibs goalkeeper David Marshall's attempt to punch the ball as "manslaughter".
After Nicky Devlin had cancelled Martin Boyle's opener, the Dons started the second half on the front foot and took the lead for the first time in the game through Jamie McGrath's goal, only for Hibees substitute Emiliano Marcondes to come on and earn his side a share of the spoils.
But with the score till at 2-1, a moment of controversy arrived on the hour mark when on-field referee David Munro and the VAR team decided not to point to the spot despite former Scotland goalkeeper Marshall's clash with Aberdeen top goalscorer Miovski. Marshall, 38, did made contact with the ball but his attempted punch also saw him catch Miovski, who then had to be attended to by the some home side's medical team.
Interim boss Warnock was unhappy with VAR''s call to chalk a goal off from Miovski in Wednesday night's entertaining 3-3 draw with Motherwell and once again voiced his frustration with the video technology. Speaking to BBC Sportsound, he said: "I thought that was manslaughter if I am honest. Bojan clearly heads the ball first. David catches some of the ball after but he then poleaxes Bojan.
"Somebody who knows the game of football would have given a penalty. The problem we have is that we have got referees and people on VAR who have never played the game. If that was anywhere else on the pitch it's a booking. I am bemused at that.
"I don't know what they were looking at, like the other night with that offside goal.
“I don’t think we’ve got much going for us at the minute either and, hopefully, that will change. I look forward to talking to them next week and I hope I can have a few answers on certain decisions today.
“Miovski clearly gets the ball first and heads it. Yes, he’s glanced the ball has David, but he’s poleaxed him. Anywhere else on the pitch, he gets a yellow card for that.
“I don’t understand referees in the VAR. I think it has got to be somebody who has played the game. That is definitely a foul and should have been a penalty.
“The four referees I have had so far have been far better than England, but if he’d have booked someone in the first three minutes for a bad tackle, he wouldn’t have had so many problems."
